Crossing the Tasman would have been very challenging for those men. But they were coming home to see their families so they would of been so happy. I think you might have thought they were crossing by boat, But they were flying in a plane so they would have been sheltered inside the aeroplane. I like how you said it was torture and it took 14 hours. That's a very long trip home.
