It sounds like you would have an awesome party full of friends and whanau. Which friends are in your squad? Have you thought about what kind of food and activities you would have for your guests to enjoy?
I think if I was to throw a VE party I would have a barbeque and a pool party. However, the war ended in the middle of a New Zealand winter so a pool party might not be appropriate. A bomfire might be a bit warmer.
