  1. Hi Araura,
Well done on finishing this activity. I agree with you, zip lining would be exciting and a bit scary. I saw the picture of it and it looked like it was very high up so hopefully if I ever do go onto it I won't fall off. Keep up the good work.

  2. Hi Araura,

It's Leslie here, reading your blog from my home in Canada as a member of the Summer Learning Journey team.

I can imagine that ziplining would be really exciting but I too would be nervous. The butterflies would be going all directions in my stomach too!!

My daughters have gone ziplining and they've loved it!! They told me that it was really fun to be high above the tree tops, looking out over a huge area. They were nervous but once they were zipping along the line they felt safe and they really loved being able to look down into the forest and the valleys from a high vantage point.

I think my legs would turn to jelly before I ever reached the starting platform. So I don't think I'll give it a try. But I'm glad that people have come up with a way of letting tourists see an area without doing damage to the forest floor, or the shorelines of lakes and rivers. We're having trouble with too much tourism in parts of the world and this is at least one way of reducing our impact.

I hope you're having some fun adventures this summer, whatever you're doing, and that you're enjoying this program! I'll continue to enjoy reading your blog.

    Cheers,

    Leslie
