Activity 2: Guardians of the Sea-Summer Learning Journey-Week 4 Day 1

On your blog tell us whether, or not, you believe that Taniwha exist. Be sure to explain to us why you feel this way.

Hi bloggers today i will be completing the text above...Hope you enjoy!

In my opinion i think this is true because if waikato river is the longest river in the world who knows what is on the other side of the river. Maybe the Taniwha lives somewhere in the river that docent get explored by humans and it just decided to swim through the river

That is just my opinion!

Hope you guys enjoyed,Blog you later...Bye

  1. Hi Araura,
Well done on finishing this activity. I don't really think that Taniwha's exist. I think that what people see in the rivers/lakes is really just a big fish. There is also no proper evidence that a Taniwha is lurking around the area. Keep up the good work.

  2. Hi Araura,

It's Leslie here, a member of the Summer Learning Journey. I see that you think there's a good possibility that taniwha exist. Did you watch the video that's linked to this activity? It's pretty interesting that there are huge eruptions of bubbles on the river sometimes, without any explanation of what's creating those bubbles!!

It makes you wonder what's below the surface of the Waikato, doesn't it? Who knows?? Perhaps there are taniwha!!

We have a 'mythical' creature in Canada too that people sometimes talk about. He's called "Big Foot" because sometimes there are very large footprints found on the ground and in the snow out west. There have been stories told of people seeing a gigantic, hairy 'monster' who walks like a human. But no one has ever 'captured' on or been up close enough to really identify it.

There are many mysteries in the world. The taniwha are one of them!!

I'm glad you've chosen to be a part of this Summer Learning Journey program and learn about some of these mysteries.

I'll continue to enjoy reading your blog.

    Cheers,

    Leslie
