Activity 3: Burning Up… Summer Learning Journey week 3 day 1

Hi bloggers today i have created a chart about the hottest temperatures.I hope you enjoy!

The hottest temperature on record in each place is: Dallol: 41oC; Dasht-e Loot: 71oC; Tirat Zvi: 54oC; Kabili: 55oC; Bandar-e Mahshahr: 51oC. Crazy ‘eh?!

    You have created a graph to present data about the temperatures in the hottest places in the world. Your bar graph is organised well and the data is easy to read, ka pai!

    Perhaps next time you could be more detailed with the labelling on your graph, for example, you could put a note on the left side to let people know what the numbers mean. In this case it would be 'Temperature (°C)' and the bottom could be labelled 'Cities'.

    I feel a little better about the heat we've been having in Auckland now that I've compared how hot the temperatures have been in those five places! Here in Aotearoa over the past 50 years we've had some really hot weather. Do you know how many °C the hottest day in Aotearoa was? Let me know if you find out.

    Well done on finishing this Summer Learning Journey activity. You have done a great job making a graph of some of the hottest cities in the world. Do you think that the people in those cities have to wear special clothing to protect them from the sun? Keep up the good work.
