  2. Mauri Araura,

You have asked some really good questions, I like that you thought to ask him how his life changed after achieving a huge accomplishment and gaining a bit of fame. A very thoughtful question indeed. It is always good to think of some questions that only the person you are interviewing could answer or would know, ka mau te wehi!

I wonder if any of his family were mountaineers like him... What do you think inspired him to want to climb the world's highest mountain?

A few questions I would probably ask are; ‘Did you hallucinate at all breathing in the thin air?’ and 'Did you see anyone who had frozen to death on the climb? How did it make you feel?’. I bet the mental struggle was almost as tough as the physical climb, I can’t imagine trying to climb in that environment.

    Another great post!

    Toe feiloa'i fo'i,

    Cia.

  3. Hi Araura,
Well done on finishing this activity. The five questions that you would ask Sir Edmund Hillary are great. I like the third one the best because I think he must have felt exhausted, proud and relived that he finally made it to the top. Keep up the good work.
