I think this rule is unfair because the people that go fishing do not have that much money because if they had money why would they be fishing for food when they can buy it?So this is my reason on why i think it is unfair.

ReplyDeleteIt's Toe'umu. I actually disagree that you say it's unfair. I think it is fair because if they keep overfishing there might be no more fish and other people might not be able to have fish from the stores. Maybe next time you could say more reasons on why you think it is unfair.

ReplyDeleteYou have told us what you thought about the rule and talked about why you have that opinion. It is true that some people who may not be fortunate may fish, however that is not a reason to overfish. You can take some fish to eat however you do not need to take more than what you can carry. Overfishing by commercial fishing companies is even worse because they use gigantic nets that some other sea creatures get stuck in and unfortunately die. :( Soon we may not have any fish in our sea. What do you think would happen if there were no fish?
Perhaps next time you could include some information about other rules in our waters, like how many shellfish people are allowed to take home from a beach.
Thank you for sharing your opinion, I personally think it's fair to get a fine. Overfishing is a serious problem and a lot life depends on having fish in our waters and ecosystems.

ReplyDeleteWell done on finishing this activity. I think that people who overfish shouldn't be fined 100,000 dollars because it is way to much. I still think that they should be fined because they are taking more than what they probably need but 100k is a huge amount of money. Keep up the good work.
