The WWF: World Wildlife Fund-Summer Learning journey-Day 3-activity 3

World Wildlife Fund ( WWF ) are trying to save Freshwater seals!

WWF are  building snow banks for the seals because the seals give birth in a lair that  digs into a snowbank and if there aren't any the baby seals are born on open ice and don't have any protection against predators because there is no surrounding around the open ice.

WWF have achieved to build snow banks for the baby seals to be born in.

WWF are trying to save tigers by spreading the word to others and changing the Humans opinion on the tigers that is what they have achieved.

Thanks for reading!

Blog you later! Bye

  1. Hola Araura,

Once again, you have put together a great post about the World Wildlife Fund (WWF). You are absolutely right. The WWF is working to protect the seal pups from being born on open ice. They are doing this by building snow banks which will protect the pups from the cold air, predators, and impact from humans. If the WWF were not building these snow banks then up to half of the pups born, could die. That would be awful as there are not many Saimaa Ringed Seals left in the world. Do you know where in the world these seals live?

Keep up the awesome work, Araura. You are flying through these activities.

    Kindest regards,
    Megan :)

  2. Hi Araura,
Well done on finishing this activity. It's great to hear that the World Wildlife Fund is trying to save endangered species like seals and tigers. I think that they are very smart by trying to make sure that the pups don't die of things like the cold by building snow banks. Keep up the good work.
